WHMIS 2015

In February 2015 the Government of Canada published an article in which amendments were made to the Hazardous Products Act as well as incorporating the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals (GHS) into the currently used WHMIS system. This updated version is now referred to as WHMIS 2015.



COURSE OBJECTIVES

To provide the operator with:

  • overview of WHMIS 2015
  • overview of hazard groups and classes
  • labels
  • physical hazards
  • health hazard
  • safety data sheets (SDSs)

During the course the operator will:

  • receive theory instruction
  • complete a test on theory
  • receive a workbook and writing materials

Upon successful completion each student will receive:

  • a diploma
  • a plastic identification card

Requirements:

  • ability to understand English
